My coaching philosophy is based around how we as riders influence the horse and ensuring my clients understand the ‘what, why and hows’ so they have the understanding to correctly train their horses. I believe that it’s really important that my clients can keep improving between lessons instead of thinking ‘that was great but I don’t know how I got there’ after a lesson.

As for the horses, the scales of training are very important to ensure correct physical development. My training philosophy is that there’s not a one size fits all approach to training a horse and each horse must be treated as an individual. The overall aim being a happy horse that understands their work.  

All of my training clients receive tailored individual support between lessons, including but not limited to: calls, video analysis, competition support, theory, goal setting and performance profiling.   

I am a British Dressage Accredited coach, BD Youth Coach & Assessor and BD Para Coach. I am also an Accredited coach with The Pony Club.

 First aid certificated, hold a safeguarding certificate for children and vulnerable adults, DBS checked and have full insurance.  

Training can take place at my base near Melton Mowbray or freelance across the East Midlands. Prices start from £40 for a 45 minute private lesson.
